CATAQUA Bio-filter Instruction:
Bio-filter is a type of equipment to culture beneficial biochemical bacteria, it requires no land construction, it can be used immediately after being loaded. The CAT bio-filter uses high-quality food-grade PP material that is non-toxic and odorless, it is light-weighted and firm so that the lifespan can be as long as 50 years. Using a three to four multi-stages filtration structure, it has abundant filtration area, small equipment size, compact structure, high treatment efficiency, the filtration and waste discharging are proceeding simultaneously without interruption to the system function. The equipment has an obvious effect on the removal of organic matter in water, for big organic particles that accumulated in the filtration screen, the particles would decompose to smaller particles until a complete decomposition.
The equipment is adequate for filtrating all suspended solids in low viscosity liquid, the equipment is widely used in processing the water used in freshwater and seawater RAS.

RAS Recirculating aquaculture system 
Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) series of treatment processes is utilized to maintain water quality in intensive fish farming operations. These steps of Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) are often done in order or sometimes in tandem. 
After leaving the vessel holding fish the water is first treated for solids before entering a biofilter to convert ammonia, next degassing and oxygenation occur, often followed by heating/cooling and sterilization. Each of these processes can be completed by using a variety of different methods and equipment, but regardless all must take place to ensure a healthy environment that maximizes fish growth and health.
